4.6 out of 5 from more than 500 Google reviews: Tipsy Bar is Siquijor's second highest-rated bar. And yet most passing visitors have never heard of it, for a simple reason: it is not on the beach and it only opens in the evening.

What sets it apart

Reviews converge on one specific point: the room is calmer and friendlier than the island's crowded famous bars. You do not come here for volume, you come to sit down and talk. Staff are repeatedly described as "exceptionally welcoming" — several guests write that they felt received like old friends.

One other rarity here: there are board games. Jenga, Uno, beer pong. This is the address to remember if you are a group and want an evening that lasts without a nightclub.

What to order

The cocktails are properly made — the amaretto sour is the one guests name. On the food side three dishes recur: the truffle mushroom pizza, the tapa and the chicken cordon bleu. This is not a snack bar: you can have dinner here.

Hours — watch out for Tuesday

Our view

Tipsy is the right call for a settled evening with a group and real cocktails. For the sunset, start at Mystropical's blue tables, then move here once it is dark: the two are a few minutes apart on the circumferential road. For live music, Baha Bar.
