Siquijor Circumferential Road, Solangon, San Juan, 6227 Siquijor
VP Go Inn is on the Circumferential Road in Solangon, San Juan. A small guesthouse — seven rooms — and one of the few on the island listed on the province of Siquijor's official site.
What it is. A family-run address, unpretentious: air conditioning and a flat-screen TV in every room, wifi throughout, family bathrooms, toiletries provided, parking, safe deposit box. Car rental on site, which is uncommon on Siquijor where you normally only rent scooters.
The location is its best argument. Paliton beach is one kilometre away — the finest beach on the west coast, and the island's best sunset. You are also 150 m from Eastern Garan Garden Resort, 700 m from Coral Cay, 1.3 km from Little Boracay, and fifteen minutes from Marelle's underwater museum. For food, Mr Sumo and El Kabron are in the same barangay.
What we do not know, and would rather write down. We found no reliable public rating — not on Google, not on TripAdvisor, no platform score. Rates are not published either. That is not a bad sign in itself: on this island, small family-run places do not deal with the platforms, and we document several that are excellent. But it means you should call for the price and availability, and that we cannot promise you anything about the comfort until we have stayed there ourselves.
Who it is for. Anyone who wants to sleep in Solangon, a kilometre from Paliton, in a small air-conditioned place, dealing directly with the owners.
