Lawson's Beach Resort

Siquijor Circumferential Road, San Juan, 6227 Siquijor

Let's Go ⬆️

Lawson's Beach Resort is on the Circumferential Road in San Juan, right on the sea. 9.3 out of 10 from 269 verified reviews — and of every property we have checked on Siquijor, that is the island's highest score.

The breakdown is worth reading, because it is rare. Staff 9.8, comfort 9.6, cleanliness 9.5, location 9.5, facilities 9.2, value for money 9.0. Not a single line below 9 — we have not seen that anywhere else on the island. Two staff members, Joy and Debbie, are named personally in the reviews, which is always the sign of a place run by people who are actually there.

What you come for: a salt-water infinity pool facing the sunset, and direct beach access. There is a bar, a pool bar, a small fitness room, room service, laundry and beach towels provided. Free wifi and private parking.

Eight rooms only, which explains the attention guests get:

Room Size Sleeps
Studio 21 m² 2
Queen Studio 24 m² 2
Superior / Queen Suite, sunset view 25 m² 2
Deluxe King Suite 26 m² 2
Family room, side sea view 30 m² 4
Family room, beachfront 73 m² 6

Rates start around 59 USD a night and climb sharply in high season — check the live price.

Our reservations, because 9.3 is not a 10. The most consistent complaint is road noise: the Circumferential Road runs past the door and you hear the motorbikes — if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the road. Then water pressure, a musty smell reported in some rooms, and mattresses described as basic. A few guests also mention noise from the owners' activities on the premises.

Who it is for. A couple or a family who want the sea, a pool and careful service in San Juan, without going off to the far end of the island. It is the west coast's sensible upper end.

Nearby, on foot or two minutes by scooter: Marelle's, Shaka and Tawhay Resto Cafe, open until 10pm.

A note on the map: the property has not published precise coordinates. Our pin sits on the San Juan coastal strip, accurate to a few hundred metres. Follow the address and the signs rather than the pin.
