Free entrance – donation welcome

Hapitanan is a roadside stop along the Circumferential Road in Lazi, and its name literally means "a place to pause" — which is exactly what it's designed for. Perched with panoramic views over Lazi's countryside and coastline, it's become one of Siquijor's most popular photo stops, famous above all for the "flying witch" broomstick photo that has made it an Instagram favorite for visitors touring the island.

Beyond the photo op, it's a genuinely friendly local hangout: fresh coconuts to drink, affordable souvenirs and herbal wines to browse, garden swings to relax on, and plenty of scenic backdrops for photos beyond the broomstick shot.

There's no official entrance fee, though a small donation is appreciated and helps support the family running the spot. For the best light and the fewest crowds, aim to visit mid-morning or late afternoon. Hapitanan is typically open daily from around 7am to 5pm.
