St. Francis Church Signage

The first place that you will see when you land on the island is the "Welcome to Siquijor" sign, a perfect spot for Instagram and Facebook posts. Because the location is very close to the port terminal, the local government has installed signage in front of Saint Francis Parish, also known as Siquijor Church, to welcome visitors to the province.
The parish was established in 1783. The church was a simple structure built in a Nipa hut at the time. The colonial-era church, which is mostly made of coral stones, was completed in 1831.
