The thing to know before coming, and nobody writes it: you do not swim in front of it. The seabed is silted and covered in seagrass. That is exactly what makes the water lake-smooth at sunset, and spectacular in photographs. The flaw and the asset have the same cause. Come for the evening, not for a beach day.

Prices and hours: open 7am to 10pm, mains from 250 ₱, happy hour cocktails at 100 ₱. The happy hour window varies by source (4-6pm, 5-7pm or 4-7pm), so ask on arrival; the gap can cost you an hour at half price.

Live music almost every evening, band or DJ depending on the night. Useful for anyone sleeping nearby: the music stops at 10pm and quiet returns quickly after.

What to order: reviews say far more about the place than the plate. The only dishes named are the pizza, the calamari and the tacos. The menu mixes local and international. The cocktails, on the other hand, are unanimous.
