Portside Cafe

Located on the Larena port road in Siquijor, Portside Café is a haven for travellers and locals looking for a refreshing break. This charming little café is renowned for its warm welcome, delicious food and relaxed atmosphere.
From the moment you walk through the door of Portside Café, you are greeted by smiling faces and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you stop by for an ice cold drink after your ferry ride from Cebu and Bohol or for a full meal, the staff is always ready to make your visit an enjoyable experience.

The first cafe you meet coming off the ferry at Larena. Portside sits inside the Larena Tourism Center building, right next to the ticket counter. After a crossing from Cebu, Bohol or Dumaguete, it is the island's first table.

A useful correction: the place is open. Some online aggregators list it as closed. That is wrong, and it is the sort of error that deprives a tired traveller of a coffee on arrival.

What to order: the burger. It is what comes up in nearly every account, in all its forms, house burger, hawaiian, double cheeseburger. With fries and a soda the combo historically ran around 100 ₱; the price has moved since, but the spirit has not. Alongside: milkshakes, the vanilla one most cited, decent coffee with latte art, and local plates such as pancit guisado and chopsuey.

Good to know: the wifi is free. That is often the first thing you look for on arrival, to warn your accommodation or arrange transport.

Very wide opening hours, from early morning until late at night according to the listings, which fits a port cafe: ferries from Tagbilaran dock around 11pm on some nights, and Portside is then the only place open.
