4.5/5 on 467 Google reviews, 4.9/5 on TripAdvisor, where it ranks eighth of the island's 122 restaurants with a Travellers' Choice award. Siquijor's Japanese address, in Solangon, on the main road.

What to order: the sushi, and nothing else first. It is the subject of nearly every review, usually with the same arc: you do not expect good sushi on a small island in the Visayas, and you leave convinced. Rolls named in reviews: volcano, rainbow, sumo, hawaiian, philadelphia, dragon. The tuna sashimi draws the most enthusiastic reviews of all. Then: poke bowl, pork gyoza, shrimp tempura (served with rice), tonkatsu, mixed nigiri. The matcha is well rated.

What to know before ordering: the ramen is the weak point. It is the one dish that concentrates the criticism, and consistently so: served lukewarm, at a price one guest compared to Little Tokyo in Makati without the flavour to match. Come for the raw fish, not the broth.

Opening hours: 11am-10pm according to two sources. TripAdvisor additionally lists a Saturday and Sunday closure. That is an isolated claim, most likely an uncorrected leftover from the Covid period, but we cannot rule it out: call before travelling on a weekend, +63 946 908 7883.

Good to know: cash only. Bring notes. The room is air-conditioned and there is a terrace, both rare on the island. Expect roughly 320 to 350 ₱ for 8 pieces. The restaurant sits by the road, with no view. Vegetarian options are available, including a vegetarian ramen. One practical detail regulars mention: sushi is served on slate and sticks to it slightly, so lift each piece gently.
