Secret Beach

⚠️ The last stretch of road runs through forest with no signage at all. Highly recommended to go with a local guide the first time.

Environmental fee: around ₱100/person for foreign visitors (a lower rate for Filipino visitors, free for local residents), plus a separate parking fee of around ₱20 for a scooter — worth confirming on site, as sources vary slightly.

Secret Beach (sometimes called Bacong Beach) sits on the easternmost tip of Siquijor, in the Liloan area of Maria municipality. You reach it via a forest trail — wide in places, narrower in others — then down a staircase to the shore.

The beach itself is scattered rocks in very clear turquoise water rather than fine sand along its whole length: swimming can be tricky because of the sharp rocks, so head as far right as possible when you arrive on the beach to find the patch of fine sand where the sea is easiest to enter. Water shoes help. It's one of the quietest beaches on the island, provided you're willing to walk a bit to reach it.
