Cangbangag Falls

⚠️ Beware: the road to this waterfall isn't signposted and is genuinely rough — ride it only if you're an experienced, confident rider, and don't hesitate to ask locals for directions along the way.

Cangbangag Falls sits in the hills between Larena and Maria, and it's one of the least-visited waterfalls on the island for a reason: getting there takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours from the main road, ending with a steep, slippery 15–20 minute walk down to the falls — not suited to small children or anyone unsteady on their feet. It's commonly cited as the tallest, or among the tallest, waterfalls on Siquijor (estimates put the drop at over 30 metres), though we couldn't find an official measurement.

The payoff is a wide, deep pool at the base — clean, reportedly warm, and big enough to swim and jump into from the rocks; a rope swing sometimes appears for a small fee (around ₱50, per visitors). No entrance fee has been reported. As at most secluded sites, keep an eye on your belongings.

Bring water and proper footwear, and allow half a day for the round trip — this is one of Siquijor's quietest waterfalls, which is exactly the draw.
