Runik
Siquijor Circumferential Road San Juan Siquijor
Runik is a beach club in Tubod, San Juan, on Siquijor's south-west coast, whose pool, jacuzzis and loungers are open to day visitors for a consumable entrance fee. This page covers the day-use side; Runik is also an adults-only glamping resort.
What the day pass gets you
Entry gives access to the beachfront pool, the jacuzzis and the loungers, with the fee redeemable against food and drinks. At our last update it was 350 pesos, fully consumable; check the current rate on arrival, as prices change. The pool faces the Mindanao Sea with Apo Island on the horizon, which makes it one of the most photographed pool settings on this stretch of coast.
Timing your visit
The best moment is the late afternoon, when the light softens and the crowd gathers for sunset. Allow time on arrival: past visitors report that check-in is slow because staff walk every guest through the house rules. Arriving a good hour before sunset avoids watching it from the queue.
What reviewers say
The setting, the design and the jacuzzis get consistent praise. The kitchen is decent rather than exceptional, so treat the food as a bonus. Some day visitors feel resort guests get priority from staff, which explains a number of mixed Google reviews, according to travel blogger Girl on a Zebra. As an adults-only venue, it is not an option for families with children.
Getting there
Runik sits on the circumferential road in Tubod, a short ride from Coco Grove and the San Juan town centre. Any tricycle driver knows it, and there is room to park a scooter.
Who it suits
Couples and groups of friends after a stylish half-day of swimming and cocktails, and anyone staying in a guesthouse without a pool who wants an afternoon of comfort.
