The Temple Spa - Your Tropical Sanctuary of Wellness

The Temple Spa is the wellness centre of Coco Grove Beach Resort in Tubod, San Juan. It suits resort guests and visitors staying nearby who want a proper spa treatment in a quiet, resort setting rather than a quick beachside massage.

Treatments

Massages last 60 or 90 minutes and cover Swedish, traditional Filipino hilot, hot stone, herbal aromatherapy, ventosa (cupping) and an "East and West" blend of Swedish and Thai techniques. Body scrubs take about 90 minutes, including a soak and a back massage, and come in ginger and mint, honey and vanilla, or citrus and lemongrass, prepared fresh from natural, local ingredients. "Spa Indulgence" packages pair a scrub with a 30 or 60-minute massage.

Prices and reviews

Prices are not published online and change with the season; treatments are charged on top of the room rate for resort guests. The spa received a Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice award in 2024. In reviews of the resort, the therapists are generally praised, with the odd complaint about an individual masseuse, so do not hesitate to say if the pressure is not right.

Open daily from 10am to 10pm. Phone: 0917 314 1415. Non-guests can usually book, but resort guests have priority, so call ahead, particularly in high season. Resort guests also get complimentary daily yoga classes, a good way to combine a morning session with an afternoon treatment.

The spa is inside Coco Grove Beach Resort, on the circumferential road in Tubod, about 11.2km (around 22 minutes by car) from Siquijor airport.
