Bermuda Triangle ₱₱
Provincial Road, Maite, San Juan, 6227 Siquijor
Bermuda Triangle is a set of bungalows on the Provincial Road in Maite, San Juan. 8.8 out of 10 from around 460 verified reviews — a solid score, and the reason it fills up without making any noise.
What actually sets it apart: the outdoor shower. It is by far the detail guests name most — an open-air shower in the vegetation, which several describe as the best memory of the stay. The bungalows are about 25 m², with high ceilings, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. One bedroom, one bathroom, two people.
The location is its second argument. Maite is the liveliest stretch on the island: Baha Bar and Luca Loko are a walk away. You can stay here without renting a scooter, which is true of only a handful of addresses on Siquijor.
The reservations, and they are real. There is no direct sea access: Maite beach is a minute's walk, but a wall separates the property from the water — if you are picturing stepping out of the bungalow onto sand, this is not it. Second, and recurring: mosquitoes, a direct consequence of the greenery that makes the place charming — bring repellent. Guests also report weak water pressure and a limited breakfast. Power cuts, for their part, are the whole island's lot.
Who it is for. A couple after privacy and green quiet two minutes from the bars and restaurants, without renting a scooter. It is not a beachfront address, and the owners do not pretend otherwise.
Practical: free wifi and private parking, daily housekeeping, 24-hour front desk, massages on site, diving and snorkelling arranged, complimentary afternoon snack. Around 55 to 60 USD a night depending on season — check the live rate before booking, it moves.
