The rooms. This is one of the few places on Siquijor that covers every format: a mixed dormitory for solo travellers, double and deluxe rooms, a family room for four, and a two-bedroom cottage sleeping four. Air conditioning, private bathroom, flat-screen TV, fridge and kettle; terrace or balcony on some rooms. Room service and daily housekeeping.

The location. Set in a garden, back from the road — the quiet is what guests mention most after the welcome. Tubod beach is about fifteen minutes on foot, and it is the cleanest beach on this part of the west coast.

Our reservations. The wifi is unreliable — the most consistent complaint. And you will want a scooter: the quiet comes at the price of distance from the restaurants and bars, and while a shuttle exists, it costs extra. One more thing to plan for: cash only, cards are not accepted.

Who it is for. Tight budgets, families, and solo travellers who want a clean dorm in a real garden. If your priority is walking to a bar in the evening, look at Maite instead.
