Siquijor Boulevard

Let's Go ⬆️

This isn't a restaurant. Siquijor Boulevard is a stretch of seafront along the Circumferential Road right by the port of Siquijor town, where local family-run street food stalls line up in the evening. There's no menu, no reservations, no posted hours: just charcoal braziers, plastic tables, and the sea across the road.

This is the cheapest address in this whole guide, by far. Think grilled skewers — chicken, pork, isaw, chicken skin — rice, grilled fish, halo-halo and cold drinks, for a few dozen pesos per skewer. It's also, quite simply, where Siquijor town locals eat when they go out.

When to go. Evenings only: stalls set up in the late afternoon and the place comes alive after dark. It's also the most pleasant time to be there, once the heat has faded.

What to know before you go. Cash only, and bring small bills. No stall guarantees a fixed opening day — turnout depends on the weather and day of the week, and it's busier on weekends. From San Juan, expect a good half-hour by scooter, and the ride back is on an unlit ring road at night — that's the one real caveat. If you're arriving by ferry into Siquijor town, though, it's a few minutes' walk from the port.

Who it's for. Anyone who wants to eat Filipino food at Filipino prices, and see what an ordinary evening in Siquijor town looks like. If you're after a comfortable sit-down dinner, this isn't it.

We don't publish fixed hours or prices because none exist for a set of independent stalls. If you pick up details on the ground, let us know.
