JJ's is Siquijor's classic backpacker hub — by day a laid-back stretch of beachfront with simple cottages (basic but clean, right on the sand), and by night, especially from Thursday through Sunday, one of the liveliest gatherings on the island: bonfires, live music and a mixed crowd of travellers and locals. There's no on-site kitchen, so plan to eat elsewhere or grab something from the bar menu. Swimming directly in front of the property can be tricky at low tide because of the reef, so many guests walk a short distance along the beach for a better swimming spot. Come for the social scene and the parties rather than for beachfront swimming.
